Grace & Jason | Hawaii Destination Wedding Photographer

First of all I want to say congratulations to Grace and Jason!!! Absolutely amazing wedding! I traveled to Hawaii for this destination wedding at the Hyatt on Waikiki beach and experienced the beauty and magic of the island 😉 Grace you were stunning on YOUR day and I wish you nothing but love and happiness.

Jason your a stand-up guy and I could tell your love for Grace just from watching how you acted around Grace as we took photos and it showed in them! Again thank you Grace and Jason for trusting me and having confidence in my abilities to capture your once in a life time day. You and your families made me feel at home and I will never forget it 😉

Here are the highlights!

Nice shoes 😉 It’s all about the little details.

Have I mentioned how much I love first looks? Such a beautiful moment!

Ok I have to laugh when I look at this ring shot lol I was photographing them when I started looking at the details of the rings and thought to myself these are Tacori rings. So I found the box and there it is…Tacori! I shook my head and said this is getting bad! I now know my rings hah.

Beautiful decorations hanging above the bride and groom!

All I can say is WOW! When you think of Hawaii weddings this is exactly what you think of 😉

One of my favorite first dance shots this year 😉

I have seen alot of dollar dances in my career but this was a filipino tradition, called the money dance. The bride and groom dance to a Filipino love song or folksong and while they are dancing, the guest will put money in the bride’s mouth. The person who gives the money brings the couple’s heads together as if kissing. Sometimes people throw money on the floor or pin the dollar bills on the bride and groom’s clothing. Sometimes the money is placed in an envelope and put into the bride’s mouth. The money dance has become a tradition at Filipino weddings in Hawaii. The idea of this is to help contribute to the wealth and happiness of the couple.

Nothing like the sounds of smooth reggae by Rebel Soljahz to top the night off!!

Again I worked alongside Randy from Colour Craft Media and Brian Marks from redBicycle Media as they produced yet another stellar SDE!

I want to give a big THANK YOU to Taryn Magalianes with A Touch of You she was the Wedding/Event Planner and she was a pleasure to work with!

Ceremony/Reception Location: Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa

Great job bro 🙂 AWESOME job!

  • […] Grace and Jason tied the knot overlooking Waikiki Beach at the Hyatt. The wedding was a well executed affair thanks to the tireless efforts of Taryn Magalianes from “A Touch of You” Event planning and Grace’s brother Brandon, who makes a cameo during the same day edit film preparing the centerpieces for the gorgeous looking reception. I want to say publicly to Taryn : THANK YOU for all the help in the months leading up to the wedding and especially on the wedding day! I’ve worked with great planners and not so great planners and Taryn is definitely in the GREAT category :). Great job to Erin and Brian who pulled thru and helped me pull off this super time constrained SDE as well as the photographer Brian Jones from iDream Images for always being a class act to work with. Here’s the photo from the wedding : Grace + Jason Wedding Photos […]
